A Message from the Executive Director

Our events and inclusive programs are rooted in a powerful history of advocacy. In the mid-20th century, institutions like Willowbrook State School exposed the urgent need for dignity, rights, and community inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Leaders within The Arc movement—whose legacy continues through the Colorado Arc Network and arc Thrift Stores—helped drive lasting change toward community-based support and human rights. Today, that legacy lives on through everything we do.
Each advocacy support, fashion show, inclusive sports program, and community event creates visibility,
belonging, and opportunity—celebrating people with IDD
as valued members of our communities. Through joy, connection, and advocacy, we continue building a future rooted in inclusion and shared humanity.
