- Styles Beyond Stereotypes: Redefining What’s Possible
A Message from the Executive Director On October 25, we invite you to join us for Styles Beyond Stereotypes, an evening that celebrates creativity, inclusion, and the transformative power of community. This is not just a fundraiser—it is a gathering of visionaries committed to redefining what is possible for individuals with disabilities. Through the lens of fashion and storytelling, we will showcase courage, innovation, and resilience, inspiring dialogue, breaking barriers, and elevating voices too often left unheard. It will be a night that is as meaningful as it is unforgettable, and your presence will help shape a future of opportunity, dignity, and empowerment. As a model sponsor for Greeley’s own Jacob Ruiz, I’ve seen firsthand the courage and strength of those at the heart of this event. Their stories have reshaped how I give and deepened my commitment to this work. I hope you will accept this invitation to be part of an evening where style meets purpose, and generosity drives real change—and I would love to connect with you at the event, or another time, to share how Styles Beyond Stereotypes has personally transformed my culture of philanthropy.
- Jam Today, Jobs Tomorrow: Empowerment Beyond the Runway
When we say Styles Beyond Stereotypes is more than a fashion show—it’s an empowering movement unlike any other—we mean it. September 14th proved exactly why. Several of our past and present models traveled to Denver for a hands-on jam-making experience at Jack's Bar and Grill and Steamers Coffeehouse in Arvada. Under the guidance of the incredible owner, Athan, each model learned every step of creating delicious jam from scratch. This wasn’t just about making jam—it was about building kitchen skills, sparking confidence, and opening doors to future employment opportunities. Experiences like this transform possibilities into realities, showing the world what’s possible when barriers are removed and opportunities are created. We are beyond grateful to Athan and the entire Jack’s team for making this unforgettable day possible. Eager to taste the jam and support the movement? Grab your tickets now for Styles Beyond Stereotypes—where empowerment, inclusion, and new opportunities shine.

- News from the Northeast Corner
Technology Workshop at Northeastern Junior College In August, The Arc of Northeast Colorado offered a four-session technology workshop at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The workshop introduced eight participants from across the region to basic computer skills and coding using Code.org . The workshop was taught be Leticia Arguello, Advocacy Manager and Kandice Kramer, Community Outreach Advocate. Over the course of four sessions, participants gained hands-on experience with coding activities that emphasized problem-solving and digital literacy. The program concluded with each participant designing a simple project, including a personalized dance party and a video game. This workshop provided an accessible introduction to technology, while also giving participants the opportunity to build confidence in their abilities and explore new skills in a supportive learning environment. The Arc of Northeast Colorado thanks Northeastern Junior College for its partnership in making this workshop possible.
